BASC have amended their stance since the previous post and you can see here suggesting certain local area shooting activity is ok. The CWCC committee have decided to retain the stance of no shooting to protect the reputation of the club, wildfowlers and land owners.
Just in case there is any confusion. No Wildfowling will be taking place in CWCC marshes during this recent lockdown. Given the Government guidance/restrictions, BASC has release at statement on their website and CWCC are of the stance, and to quote: "Shooting for leisure or recreational purposes is prohibited. Driven game shooting or other group shooting activities are not permitted during the lockdown." The full statement can be found on the BASC website here.
Do not attempt to book out, do not visit a marsh and book out retrospectively. We have an updated Wildfowling Handbook available for download in the Members > Documents section. It reflects changes in the marshes available as well as detailing access and parking arrangements. Please can all members, new and old, download the latest version and familiarise yourselves with the contents so as to remain compliant with the wishes of the landowners that make access to the marshes possible.
Due to the recent changes in the marshes we shoot over there is now an updated bag return in the Members > Documents area. Please use this version as of now.
Important information regarding our marshes is in the latest newsletter and also posted with the members area here.
